Continuing to Connect with Nature
In 2020, this blog was set up share with you my family’s efforts towards receiving our Family John Muir Award.
Our focus was on butterflies, but we came across our city’s other amazing wildlife, including unusual fungi & beautiful birds.
We did lots of butterfly-related activities at home (during the lockdown) and lots of explorations in Castlemilk Park, Glasgow.
Joining Mum (me), was Dad, Jared (4) and Levi (18 months), and are delighted to say we got awarded our certificate in January 2021!

We gained so many benefits from the award, and now we are completely hooked. We’ve decided to keep sharing our walks and the wildlife we see in our amazing local woodlands.
We will also continue to share nature-related activities to do indoors & out.
Between April & October, I will regularly share the Butterflies I see along the transect in Castlemilk Park.
