I wanted to share with you, Wild About Gardens; a campaign by The Wildlife Trusts and the RHS. It has been set up to “celebrate wildlife gardening and to encourage people to use their gardens to take action to help support nature” (Wild About Gardens 2020).
Inspired by the release of the new film-The Secret Garden-this spring is all about helping butterflies. Whilst we can’t help conserve in Castlemilk Park at the moment; we thought we’d join the campaign! It’s going to brighten up our veranda, whilst helping out our pollinators.
We’ve pledged our patch, will you? Check out the idea below for inspiration!
This would be a really nice thing to do during the lockdown with the kids (if you can), and a lovely sight to look at - the butterflies and bees need as much help as they can get.
If you sign up before the end of April you will be entered into a competition - Check it out.
Until I’ve sourced some plants for the pledged window box, we have started a Butterfly feeder to put out in the meantime; can’t wait to share it with you all when it’s finished.
Jared is really excited to see what will come for a drink!
We got it finished, see it here!
Thank you, hope to see you soon! X
Hey guys, what a great idea. Could see the butterfly and the bat quite easily, but the hedgehog was a difficult one. I must borrow some of Jared's imagination, next time I see him. xx
